The Happenin's at the McFall's

So I'm a little behind on the blog and I find when Tim is gone I finally catch up on these things. Back in October my Mother and Sister in-law threw me a birthday party. It was so much fun! There we lots of fun game and tons of awesome costumes! Thanks for the party Wanda and Corie!

This was not planned, honest! We all started laughing when we saw each other. For Thanksgiving Tim and I went to California with his family to be with family there. Bryce and Lauren drove with us there and it was quite the drive filled with lots of food and a little Cash Cab trivia! We went swimming on Thanksgiving which is something I have never done. The day after Thanksgiving we went to Six Flags! I have never been on roller coasters like that before. It made Lagoon seem like beginners stuff. I had so much fun and lasted the longest out of the group. Some got a little dizzy needless to say.

We hit up the beach the last day we were there. We got some great pictures and might have gotten a little wet...not a purpose though. Some of those waves were big.
A little romance on the beach is always nice!
This was the getting wet part. Now that Christmas is nearing Tim and I put up our tree. Even though this will be our second Christmas together as a married couple it kind of feels like our first. Probably because the last one we were so busy with wedding plans! It was so fun putting up our little tree and stockings. I'm really looking forward to the traditions we will start!

Jack-O-Lanterns

Tim and I carved our pumpkins yesterday! There not much to tell. I just wanted to show them. I was going for a teeth-grin look but it looks more like a stitched closed mouth. Oh well I'm still happy the way it turned out. Tim went for a basic look, due to the fact that it was way past his bedtime. I love Halloween!

Umm...Randomness!

Nothing super eventful has happened at the Mcfall home lately but there are a few small things. I got called as the primary pianist in our ward and love it already. I'm a little nervous for the primary program next month though. It's a good thing all the parents will be focused on watching their children and not listening to the accompanist.

Tim is in the grand state of Oklahoma for a training course there. He comes back Saturday after being there for two weeks and I'm pretty darn excited! I don't like living by myself.

My cousin Hiram got married on the 7th to Jenny Taylor. I must say they are one cute couple. Everytime I have seen them together they are smiling ear to ear.

Some very sassy bridesmaids!

Labor Day Weekend!

What a fun weekend Tim and I had. Saturday we both had work off so we got to be together for the day. That evening Wanda and Dabeed took us to the Jon Schmidt concert at Thanksgiving Point! It was so much fun! Some of his new songs are awesome and he always makes me laugh.

Sunday we went to Grandma Amott's for some yummy Sunday Dinner. We had roast beef and this dish called Dutch Babies. It was basically German Pancakes with powdered sugar and lemon juice ontop. It was YUMMY!! I helped by making some funeral potatoes, but they didn't turn out as well as I would have hoped. Oh well, it was my first try.

Monday I was scheduled to work, and Tim had the day off. :( After about 45 minutes my boss said,"Kathryn, would you be interested in going home early? I don't think we are going to get very busy." Heck yes! So I got to go back home and that's when Tim and I decided we should do something for this wonderful Labor Day. So we went to the Zoo! It was so packed but was way fun! We began the day with a little hat modeling. I thought is was supposed to go over your face but then was trying to tell me it goes on top like a hat. I didn't believe him till I saw the picture. Oh well! I'm just a scary lion looking down at your feet!
The had some super cute monkeys! This is a little one laying on one of the adults. Their fur was crazy lookin'!This peacock was just roaming the eating area! It kind of startled me.They gave the elephant an ice block filled with fruits and veggies. It was kind of fun watching her try to eat it.
They had a little baby giraffe born the end of July. They also had baby tigers and a baby elephant but the elephant isn't coming out until Friday. We just barely missed it.
Tim with the Zebras!Just trying to look like my ancestors! ;)

Good-bye Elder Amott

Okay....so I'm a little behind on the blog thing but I just wanted to put this up quick. We took Richard, or now more correctly called Elder Amott, to the airport this morning. It was a happy but also very sad day! How wonderful he will be in the mission field, but also how much our family is going to miss him! He looked so awesome today. I just can't wait until we get that first email.

Richard with his tasty candy lei Wanda (my mother-in-law) made!

Timmy having some fun at the baggage check in area!

See you in two years little brother!

One other quick update...

Park City Weekends!

The past two weekends Tim and I have got to go to Park City. The first time we went was for our 6 month anniversary. We went on the Alpine Coaster and Alpine Zip Line! It was so much fun, and nice to get away!
The next weekend we went was for a marriage enrichment seminar called PREP put on by the Army National Guard. We learned lots of good stuff to having a happy marriage. It went from Friday evening to Sunday morning. We had classes during the morning and afternoon and then they let us free for the evenings. We stayed at The Yarrow and the best part was it was all free. The hotel and food were covered by the Guard!! So as much as the military takes my husband away at least they offer things like this for us to enjoy!
